Using photos from our website for promotional purposes

If you wish to use photos from the Discovering Medieval website for any sort of promotional purposes, even if we are taking part in the event you will need to get the relevant photographers permission as some of the photos are copyrighted and will incur a charge for their use as the photographs belong to the photographer, not Discovering Medieval. Below are listed some of the photographs on our site and which photographer took them. If a photo you wish to use is not listed here it may be one of ours which we do not mind you using but please ask permission first.

Schools may use these images for free in classroom lessons. If you are unsure whether you fit into this category, please ask.

Martin Scott-Jupp

Most of the photos on this website have been taken by Martin Scott-Jupp, a professional freelance photographer. If you wish to use any of his photos for any reason, you will need to contact him first as there will be a charge (www.martinscott-jupp.co.uk). In addtion there are many more photos to choose from which are not featured on this site. You may also commission him for other work. Copies of all his images which we have used on this site are pictured below:

Terry Russell
We met Terry at an event we were giving at Battle Abbey. He is a freelance photographer. He has given us permission to use these images to promote ourself on our website and for those hiring us for events for free. Clive Hawkins

Clive is a friend of Discovering Medieval and it is his hobby taking pictures of re-enactment events. He very kindly takes pictures of us at historic sites whenever he sees us.
